NOTES: I have Mr Graham Frost, a great friend of this 'Guide' to thank for this information.

It appears that Viv Bellamy used this harbour for the first flight test of the Supermarine S.5 replica G-BDFF. A grainy film of the event can be seen on YouTube:  https://youtu.be/ZVX_zpEcVj8

He also says that BEA (British European Airways) conducted their sea trials with the Sikorsky S.61 here before the type entered service on the PENZANCE to St MARYS service on the Isles of Scilly.
