Note: This map only shows the location of Udny Castle. If anybody could be kind enough to provide a more exact position for the airstrip, this advice will be much appreciated

PITMEDDEN: Private airstrip (also known as UDNY CASTLE)

Location: On the A920 just W of Pitmedden roughly 13nm NNW of Aberdeen city centre

Period of operation: 1970s only?

NOTES: In the mid 1970s it seems that only the Morane Saulnier M.S.894A Rallye Minerva G-AYYD of Udny & Dudwick Estates Ltd was based here. Is anything else known?
