PORT TALBOT: Temporary aerodrome(s)?

Operated by: The Alan Cobham Tours

NOTES: It appears that one or perhaps both of these Cobham Tours used Margam Park as their Port Talbot venue. If anybody can kindly offer advice on this, it will be much appreciated.

On the 24th May 1933 Sir Alan Cobham’s No.2 Tour displayed in/near Port Talbot

It does seem that on the 27th September Cobham’s 1934 Tour also displayed in/near Port Talbot. These must have been a quite extraordinary events in those days so presumably a record exists of where they were held?

Margam was advertised as the display area in the local paper.
