Preston flying sites

Note:  This map only shows the position of Preston within the UK.

PRESTON: Balloon ascent launching site

Operated by: Mr Charles Green

Period of operation: 21st September 1825

PRESTON: Exhibition flying display site

NOTES: It seems that Henri Salmet performed a flying display here in late August 1912, being one of six pilots engaged by the Daily Mail to tour the UK. See MOOR PARK.

PRESTON: Temporary aerodrome(s)

NOTES:  Certainly in 1932 and 1933. But what site or sites did they use? In 1932 it was METE HOUSE FARM (See seperate listing) But did they use this site in 1933?

PRESTON:  Unknown sites?

I have been researching the 'Guide' for over twenty years, (by 2019), and have found mentions of GREEN FARM and HOUSE FARM in my notes from many years ago for the Preston area. Can anybody kindly offer advice?
