Note:  The aerial detail was obtained from Google Earth ©. The local area and area views are from my Google Earth © derived database.

Location:  Just S of the B1026, NE of Tollershunt D'Arcy village, about 4nm SE of Tiptree town centre and roughly 8.5nm SSW of Colchester town centre

Period of operation:   1960s to ?

Runway:  Unknown?  Probably roughly E/W?

NOTES:  We have Mr Graham Frost, a great friend of this 'Guide', to thank for pointing out this location.

Further related information was obtained from the January 2025 issue of Light Aviation magazine, in the article about the PFA Rallies at SYWELL. It appears that the Taylor Monoplane, G-AYSH, built by Mr Chris Lodge, made its first flight here in around late 1973/early 1974 with Mr Jack Pickerell at the controls.

As always, if anybody can kindly offer advice and information, this will be much appreciated.
