Prospect Farm

PROSPECT FARM: Private microlight airstrip?

Location: Just NNW of Wollaston. E of the A509, roughly 2nm SSE of Wellingborough town centre

Period of operation: 2000s only?

Runways:  01/19   225   grass          11/29   285   grass

NOTES: Info source, AAIB report EW/C2004/12/01. Judging from this report, and looking at Google Earth, it seems highly likely this airstrip was/is used mainly if not solely by microlight aircraft. The report concerns the total destruction on a first test flight of the rare and just fully restored Pterodactyl Ptraveller. The pilot survived but I’d recommend reading this astonishing report.

However, I now think that this aircraft probably departed from TOWER FARM airstrip and crashed at PROSPECT FARM? Can anybody kindly offer advice on this?
