Location: Just E of Pymoor village, 3.5nm W of Littleport and about 4nm NNW of Ely town centre
Period of operation: Circa 2017/18 to -
Runway: 09/27 240x15 grass
NOTES: We have Mr Graham Frost, a great friend of this 'Guide', to thank for pointing out this airstrip. Presumably only used by microlights, gyrocopters and similar?
The hangars look too close to the runway for comfort - but that is just my opinion - being rather old school of course. Also, being taught that if it quacks like a duck, floats on water like a duck, and looks like a duck - it probably is a duck - I have applied the same reasoning here. There also appears to be a parking area set aside just north of the centre of the runway - which makes sense.
If anybody can kindly offer advice and information, this will be much appreciated. As of course, any pictures.
