We have Mike Holder, a great long-term friend of this 'Guide', to thank for both discovering this little known venue, and providing the following items to illustrate the listing.
This article, in five parts, was published in the Mansfield Reporter on the 18th June 1920.
The Article Two was published in the Nottingham Evening Post on the 19th July 1920 and Article Three was published in the Mansfield Reporter on the 30th July 1920.

NOTES: I have tried to track down the identity of the Avro 504K named 'Psyche' that Herbert Sykes used when flying from this venue. Without any positive proof to date I rather suspect it was G-EACA, (ex E6765), although he only, (it appears), had G-EACA registered to his name from 08.02.21 until 01.10.21.
The history of having civilian aircraft registered after WW1 is somewhat complicated, and the official requirement to have the new registration letters applied to aircraft was not followed quickly by most civil operators, as so many pictures in this 'Guide' clearly illustrate. If anybody can kindly offer advice, this will be much appreciated.
