RIGLAW: Private airstrip

Having had a delve on the interweb, a remarkable story appears to emerge, which I think deserves being much applauded. The Zenair CH701SP, G-JFMK, was registered to Mr Pearson in September 2004, and mostly built it seems during 2005. This series of aircraft are remarkable STOL types despite appearing rather squarish in the fuselage. But, by all apperances, Mr Pearson not only built this aircraft, he constructed a hangar to build it in, and, an airstrip to fly it from! I cannot think of many other examples in the UK that equal this singular determination to be, as it were, a self-contained operation.
