Note: This map only gives the position of Sandford St Martin village within the UK. If anybody can kindly supply a more accurate location, and hopefully more information regarding its history etc, this advice will be most welcome.

SANDFORD St MARTIN: Private airstrip

Location: ESE of ENSTONE?

Runway: E/W grass   (Possibly 08/26   190   grass?)

NOTES: The initial info source was the AAIB report EW/G2013/05/10. If I have identified this airstrip correctly on Google Earth it is about 1000 metres ESE of the eastern end of the hard runway 07/25 at ENSTONE.

190 metres is pretty short as airstrips go but quite adequate for an Aeroprakt A22-L Foxbat and, of course, many other microlight and STOL types.
