SANDS FARM:   Private airstrip

The first picture was obtained from Google Earth ©. The area view is from my Google Earth © derived database.

Location:  Just NE of Easterton Sands village, roughly 3.5nm S of Devizes town centre

Period of operation:  Unknown?   Possibly from around 2005 to 2009?

Runway:   04/22   350 x 60   grass

NOTES:  We have Mr Graham Frost, a great friend of this 'Guide' to thank for pointing out this location. We cannot be entirely certain about the site seen in the 2005 picture above actually being an airstrip? It has all the classic hallmarks of being one, but, with no obvious hangar perhaps used just for visiting? An additional clue is that Mr A G Craig had the Bellanca 7GCBC, G-BVLT, registered to him at this address from 08.09.2008 until 20.07.2009.

If anybody can kindly offer advice and information, this will be much appreciated.
