Sands Lane

Note: This is only a guess of course. But, Sands Lane is shown on modern maps for Bridlington. So, was this where these operations took place?

SANDS LANE: Temporary aerodrome

Pleasure flights: Operator unknown but possibly Golden Eagle Aviation or perhaps Lytham Aviation Co?

Location: In or near Bridlington

Period of operation: 1920 only?

NOTES: It appears the Avro 504K G-EASG belonged to both these operators and made an appearance here probably in 1920. Originally registered as G-EAFX this aircraft was, it sems, written off in August 1919, and therefore apparently rebuilt.

The problem is that both these Lancashire based operators weren’t known for operating elsewhere other than in their home county.
