Military users: RFC/RAF   (Royal Flying Corps / Royal Air Force) 

51 [Home Defence] Sqdn   (Royal Aircraft Factory BE.2 & BE.12, Avro 504K)

Note: It appears that 51 Squadron used the Avro 504K for night flying, so, being based at MARHAM, perhaps they didn't use the type here? 

 

Location: S of Little Barningham, about 1.5nm SSW of Matlaske and also about 1.5nm NNE of Saxthorpe on the B1354. Roughly 16nm NNW of Norwich

Period of operation: 1916 to 1919
 

Site area: 37 acres     503 x 293
