Location: Just SSW of Market Bosworth village, about 4nm NNW of Hinckley town centre and roughly 5.5nm NNE of Nuneaton town centre
Period of operation: Perhaps 1965 to 1972 only?
NOTES: The Sokol Aero 145 Srs.20, G-ASWT, was it appears, based here from 1965 to 1972? Mr P F Hall was a co-owner with two others, and it was registered to them from 15.03.65 to 31.05.72. It was broken up for spares at ELSTREE in 1978.
We have Mr Graham Frost, a great friend of this 'Guide' to thank for the information regarding the location of SHENTON HALL, and, looking at Google Earth © I imagine, in the first picture above, this is probably where the airstrip was laid out? He saw G-ASWT in a field next to HUSBANDS BOSWORTH in 1968.
If anybody can kindly offer advice, this will be most welcome.
