Sidmouth beach
Note: This map only gives a rough location for the actual landing site - but close enough for this 'Guide'. I am of course assuming, as the beach is much wider west of Sidmouth, that this is where the landing took place - as opposed to the east beach.

NOTES: As a general rule this 'Guide' does not feature forced landing sites, but surely this deserves a mention. The pilot of the Morane Saulnier MS.315E D2, G-BZNK, made an exemplary job of this after suffering engine failure, and no significant damage was inflicted.
