NOTES: I must readily admit, having discovered the Wessex Hang Gliding & Paragliding Club website, (highly recommended), to find that SOUTHBOURNE was one of their flying sites. My flabber was ghasted!
Over the years it seems this site has been prohibited from use, due to cavalier pilots often taking a irresponsible approach. But, in later years once the Wessex Hang Gliding & Paragliding Club became involved, the site can now be used - albiet with severe restrictions and procedures.
As said often elsewhere, this Club can be commended for taking a thoroughly professional and responsible approach. A credit to all involved. And of course, if properly controlled and organised, seeing paragliders flying can greatly add to peoples enjoyment and interest.
