SOUTHGATE:  Temporary aerodrome

Operated by: Cornwall Aviation Company

Period of operation: Visits during 1928, 1929 and 1930


NOTES: The Cornwall Aviation Company were primarily involved in offering 'joy-rides' and supplied one, two or three aircraft (Avro 504K) depending on what they thought the local response might be. They also performed 'stunt-flying' such as aerobatics and wing-walking in order to drum up interest.
