Miltary user:  WW2    RAF

Apparently a Maintenance base

Airline user: 1932: British Air Navigation

Location: Near Cardiff

Period of operation:   Civil 1931 and 1932 certainly.  Miltary from 1934 to 1954

NOTES: The 1931 itinerary of the C.D. Barnard Air Tours 1931 ‘Tour of the UK’ lists a visit, (27th to 28th June 1931), to the Splott Foreshore Aerodrome, Cardiff.

In June, (3rd to 11th), 1932 the Modern Airways, (The Crimson Fleet), ‘Tour of the UK’ also made a visit here.

In the 1939 Reading Aero Club airfield guide CARDIFF/SPLOT, (spelt with one ‘T’), was listed.
