Note: Very oddly, a look at the Wikipedia entry shows no mention of any Royal Navy activity. Could anybody kindly offer information to clear this anomoly up? In fact it now seems this airfield was only ever a RAF Coastal Command Station. Is this correct?

Period of operation: 1943 to ? Still operational in 1985 it seems, and under RAF control
