A MICHAEL T HOLDER GALLERY
We have Mike Holder, a great friend of this 'Guide', to thank for investigating this little known venue.
The article was published in the Tamworth Herald on the 22nd October 1921.
The area view is from my Google Earth © derived database.
NOTES: It appears that Capt. O P Jones arrived with just one aeroplane, which was quite common for Berkshire Aviation Tours in those days. Without much if any doubt, this would have been an Avro 504K as between 1919 and the early 1930s the company operated twenty four examples. How long he and his engineer stayed is not known, but a stay of at least a week seems more than likely.
