A Guide to the history of British flying sites within the United Kingdom

Standingstone

STANDINGSTONE: Private airstrip

Location: 1.5nm N of A96, in/near Standingstone, 5nm W of Elgin

Period of operation: 1980s only?

NOTES: I am going out on a limb here. A bit of looking around, (research for me), has revealed Standingstones Farm in more or less the position I would expect this airstrip to be.

Can anybody kindly add more info about this?

Not heard of any strip activity around this location.
