39  [Home Defence] Sqdn  (Bristol F.2 Fighters)

 

Location: Just E of Stanstead Abbotts, N of the A414, about 3nm SE of Ware

Period of operation: 1918 to 1919
 

Site area: 48 acres     457 x 411


NOTES: It appears the only success 39 Sqdn had against the enemy occurred in 1918 when a Bristol Fighter shot down a Gotha bomber.
