SUNNYSIDE FARM:   Private airstrip     (Aka GODSHILL)

Location:  SSW of Godshill on the A3020, 3nm NW of Ventnor

Period of operation:  2013 (?) to -


Runway(s):  It appears that in 2014 the grass runway was 17/35, 340 metres long with a possible extention of 120 metres through a hedge?

Fairly soon after the much longer 01/19 was laid out in another position mostly to the south. 

2017:  01/19   600   grass 

2019:  01/19   660   grass


NOTES:  It is always very welcome to discover a new, or in this case fairly new airstrip to add to this 'Guide'. Especially when so many traditional aerodromes are under threat of closure, mostly for housing development.

As always in this 'Guide', if anybody can kindly offer advice, this will be most welcome.
