Note:  The first picture is by the author in 2012.The second rather poor picture is a scan from the January/February issue of Popular Flying magazine in 1997. The picture is attributed to Mr A Chalkley and I can only apologise for not being able to do more justice to what was, when taken, a fine picture. 

The caption was: "Airmen's paradise. Bill Wynne's private airfield at Talybont during his summer barbecue fly-in. Only half of the beautifully smooth and well marked runway is shown in this view." I think it is interesting to note that, of the seventeen aircraft seen in this picture, six were flexwing microlights.
