Operated by: 1970s to 2000s: Mr J Goodley & Sons Ltd

Location: About 1nm E to ENE of Tilney St Lawrence village, 2nm W of River Great Ouse, 4.5nm SW of Kings Lynn

Period of operation: 1970s to -

Runway: 1990:   16/34    400x32    grass

1999 on:   17/35   450   grass

NOTES: In the mid 1970s the Auster J/I Autocrat G-AIBM was the only aircraft listed as being based here, registered to Mr J L Goodley.

I suppose it should be asked if the strip shown above is actually the strip used in the 1970s? Over the twenty years covered by these pictures there is no sign of a hangar, and an Auster cannot be kept outside, except for short periods in reasonably good weather. Also, there doesn't appear to be an aircraft parking area as such, and, the nearest habitation seems to be around half a mile away.

If anybody can kindly offer advice, this will be most welcome.

Hi. Is this airfield still in use and where is it? Please advise. Thanks

Reply from Dick Flute:
Hi Andrew, I suspect that this airstrip is long longer in use, and, I cannot find an exact location for it. However, I shall keep this query posted and hopefully somebody can offer advice. Best regards, Dick
