Note: This map only shows the location of Damerham within the UK. If anybody could kindly supply a position for West Park House, and even better where the airstrip was situated, this will be most welcome.




WEST PARK HOUSE: Military airstrip (also known as DAMERHAM)
 

Military user: USAFA          HQ VII Corps
 

Location: In/near Damerham, roughly 3nm WNW of Fordingbridge.  8nm SSW of Salisbury, 6nm NNE of Ringwood

Period of operation: During the D-Day build up period only?

 

NOTES: Used by Piper L-4s and Stinson L-5s.
