Bramley

Note: This map only shows the position of Bramley within the UK. If anybody can kindly offer advice, this will be most welcome.

BRAMLEY: Private airstrip and helipad

Location: In/near Bramley. N of junction 1 on the M18, roughly 3nm ESE of Rotherham

Runway: 02/20   450   grass

NOTES: Info source AAIB report EW/C2006/08/03. In this report involving a rather odd and tragic fatal accident, (in which the wings folded up on a climb out), it states that a strip was under construction near Bramley. The pilot of Zenair CH601UL G-YOXI, (presumably based at ASKERN in YORKSHIRE?), had invited the owner of the ASKERN strip to inspect by air the intended new strip at BRAMLEY. The helipad was positioned at the northern end of the strip.
