NOTES: On the 16th August 1933 Sir Alan Cobham’s No.1 Tour displayed in/near Burgess Hill.

This comment was written on: 2020-10-05 17:59:50There was a landing strip running north to South, to the west of Burgess Hill. It appears on OS maps of the sixties. I remember a few aircraft flying there, possibly in the eighties, perhaps on the day it closed. The site now seems to be below the Burgess Hill ring road and the extension to the industrial estate. You can still fly there, but in a CAE simulator!
