Operated by:  Mr Thomas G I Dark

Location: Just SE of Foss Cross, just E of the A429, about 5nm NNE of Cirencester town centre

Period of operation:  Unknown ? Perhaps from 2006 until 2012?

Runway:  18/36   600   grass

NOTES:  We have Mr Graham Frost, a great friend of this 'Guide', to thank for pointing out this location. It appears that Mr Dark used it for operating his de Havilland DH82A Tiger Moth, G-ANOM. Although said to be based here, I cannot see any sign of a hangar, but that is hardly conclusive. As I have found over the years, hangars can be not only disguised, but hidden away, beneath a large tree for example.

Like so many Tiger Moths, G-ANOM dates back to being a military machine originally, with the serial of N6837. It appears it was seriously crashed at FAIROAKS on the 17th December 1961 but restored and re-registered 01.09.81. Mr Dark had G-ANOM registered to him from 24.11.2006 until 31.10.2012. If anybody can kindly offer advice and information, this will be much appreciated.
