Isle of Sheppey

Note:  This map only shows the position of the Isle of Sheppey within the UK. The fact that I have put the pointer on a large open space is pure guesswork, although this is exactly the sort of venue I would expect them to have used.

ISLE of SHEPPEY: Temporary aerodrome?

NOTES: On the 27th August Sir Alan Cobham’s 1934 Tour were reported to have displayed on the Isle of Sheppey. Is the venue known?

Would it be reasonable, considering that they would want to attract a large crowd, that this venue would have been close to Sheerness and/or Minster?
