NOTES:  We have Mr Graham Frost, a great friend of this 'Guide', to thank for pointing out this location. Right from the start of this project it has been important to list as many model flying sites as possible. The main reason being that without models it is doubtful that the era of fixed-wing aircraft would have emerged as early as it did - in the early 19th century. Thanks to Sir George Cayley.

Needless to say, models are still at the forefront of aviation technology, and not just for use in wind-tunnels. Indeed, as far as I can make out, some of the amateur model makers today are really pushing the boundaries of miniature technology in aviation through various ways, not least cameras.
