Pebble Mill

PEBBLE MILL: Company helipad

Operated by: The BBC (British Broadcasting Corporation)

Period of operation: The studios opened in 1971 and were closed in 2004 (Demolished in 2005)

NOTES: Situated in Pebble Mill Road, Edgbaston these BBC studios have been frequently visited by helicopters and - at least one VTOL jet aircraft! On the 20^th September 1979 the Sea Harrier FRS.1 XZ451 of 700A Squadron YEOVILTON landed here.

I wonder if a record was ever kept of the helicopters landing here to deliver famous guests etc?
