Portmark

Note: This map only gives a rough location within the UK.

PORTMARK: Military Seaplane Station

Military user:  RNAS (Royal Naval Air Service) presumably?

Location: On the E bank of Loch Doon ESE of Craigmalloch

NOTES: As with the presumably larger WW1 site, (LOCH DOON or BOGTON), on the NW bank at the other N end of this Loch, it appears this site was also quickly abandoned.

For some reason it seems, I cannot find any worhwhile information and an exact location when making this listing in early 2017. If anybody can kindly offer advice, this will be  most welcome.
