Note: The newspaper pictures and article are from the Dundee Evening Telegraph published on the 16th September. The airliner taking the five Provosts for a flight is, almost certainly, the Handley Page HP.33 Clive Mk.1 G-ABYX, which was registered to Sir Alan Cobham's company, National Aviation Day Ltd.
One has to wonder, as in the sixth picture above, just why the local constabulary were taking such an interest in inspecting the pilots log books.
Notes: This was the 140th venue for the 1932 tour. As said many times before, we really should remember that all these temporary flying sites used by the 'Flying Circus' operators in the 1930s were in fact fully authorised and licensed aerodromes by the Ministry of Aviation. Even though, in many cases, they were only fully operational for a single day.
