Shadingfield

Note:  This map only gives the position of Shadingfield within the UK, but also hopefully, the position of Turnpike Farm. But not the location of the airstrip.

SHADINGFIELD: Military airstrip/airfield     (also known as TURNPIKE FARM)

Military user: RAF  (Royal Air Force)

Apparently used by RAF Westland Lysanders for clandestine operations

Location: On the A145 about 4nm S of Beccles

Period of operation: WW2 only?
