NOTES: In December 2025 I was kindly contacted by Mr Graham Frost, a great long term friend of this 'Guide', who asked me what I thought about this possibly being a fairly new airstrip? My final answer being - maybe.
But, I do believe in applying long established scientific principles to arrive at such a decision. One such being that if it looks like a duck, waddles like a duck and quacks like a duck, in all probability it is a duck. Graham also pointed out that the Eurofox 3K, G-CMMZ, was registered to an address just south of the field pictured above, in 2023. Before that on Google Earth© there is no sign of an airstrip.
Also, the Eurofox is a very capable STOL aircraft, typically taking-off in around 50 metres and landing in about 100 metres. And, having folding wings, meaning it could be stored in a shed easily hidden by the trees in the local aerial view above. In producing a 'Guide' like this, for now over a quarter of a century, it was as important to ask questions rather than always attempt to provide answers. Plus, if I end up with a 'lot of egg' on my face, that's a bonus too. Being a pensioner, scoop it off, and that's an omelette for lunch!
Needless to say there is always a danger of over-thinking things, which may well be the case here of course. Still, is there any harm in having a bit of fun?
If anybody can very kindly offer advice, this will be much appreciated.
