Whitefield of Dun Farm

WHITEFIELD of DUN FARM:      Private airstrip

Location:  S of the A90, just WNW of West Ballochy, NE of Brechin and NW of Montrose town centre

A QUERY

NOTES:  In October 2026 Mr Graham Frost, a great friend of this 'Guide', sent me this query. He had found evidence that an airstrip with this name had been laid out in or around 1989 and used by a Cessna 152. So, could I help?

It has always been an important part of this project to pose questions rather than always seeking to provide answers.

A POSSIBLE ANSWER?

Scrolling back through Google Earth© images, I found this picture dated 2011, which appears to show classic signs during a dry period of a 'runway' once existing. In this case it being 05/23 and 630 metres long.

A SMALL PLEA FOR HELP
If anybody can kindly offer advice and information, this will be much appreciated. Although unlikely (?), any pictures will always be welcome.
